MENTOR PRINCIPAL: Camille HibblerCamille Hibbler is a dedicated and committed educational leader who is focused on providing all children with access to a quality education. Camille graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English Education and from Cambridge College with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.
Camille has served in numerous roles in K-12 education, including ELA teacher, Dean of Students, Instructional Coach, Principal, and Central Office Director.
Camille is not only focused on providing her students with an exceptional education but she continues on her path to be a lifelong learner as well. Camille has participated in Detroit Leads, a yearlong residency program that gives participants who are interested in leading an excellent school in Detroit the opportunity to engage in a variety of invaluable professional experiences. Camille has also participated in the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s New and Aspiring Leaders Program. An active professional, Camille is a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She has also received several awards including the 2017 cohort of Michigan Chronicle’s 40 Under 40.

RESIDENT PRINCIPAL: Meredith McKelveyMeredith McKelvey is thrilled to be joining the leadership team at DCP Redford! Mrs. McKelvey was a founding teacher at DCP Redford, and has shown tremendous leadership in her role as an instructional coach. As she joins the leadership team, in the role of Resident Principal, she looks forward to continuing to build relationships with students and families, help students and staff to reach their full potential, and show DCP Lion PRIDE every day!
Mrs. McKelvey is a native Michigander, and a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn where she studied education and sociology. She began her career in education working as a special education teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has served as a Grade Level Lead, was the Chair of the Family Partnership Committee, a member of the PTO, and a Dance Team coach. Mrs. McKelvey has been a teacher and instructional coach, and is a valued member of the Distinctive Schools Culture & Retention Expanded Design Team. Mrs. McKelvey is focused, driven, and deeply committed to the DCP family. Her goal is always to provide the best education possible for all students, every day. She prides herself on building relationships with and learning from students and families. |
