​Meredith McKelvey

Meredith McKelvey is thrilled to be leading the team at DCP Redford! Mrs. McKelvey was a founding teacher at DCP Redford, and has shown tremendous leadership in her role as an instructional coach. As she joins the leadership team, in the role of Resident Principal, she looks forward to continuing to build relationships with students and families, help students and staff to reach their full potential, and show DCP Lion PRIDE every day! 

Mrs. McKelvey is a native Michigander, and a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn where she studied education and sociology. She began her career in education working as a special education teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has served as a Grade Level Lead, was the Chair of the Family Partnership Committee, a member of the PTO, and a Dance Team coach. Mrs. McKelvey has been a teacher and instructional coach, and is a valued member of the Distinctive Schools Culture & Retention Expanded Design Team. 

Mrs. McKelvey is focused, driven, and deeply committed to the DCP family. Her goal is always to provide the best education possible for all students, every day. She prides herself on building relationships with and learning from students and families. ​
